RESTRICTED ITEMS

Before you pack your checked or carry-on luggage, please consult the following list of restricted items. Some common items may be classified as dangerous goods, and may be restricted from transport on USA3000 Airlines:

Oxygen Needs: USA3000 Airlines is happy to accept Portable Oxygen Concentrators onboard the aircraft as checked baggage or as carry-on baggage as long as those medical devices:

(1) do not contain hazardous materials as determined by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration;

(2) are also regulated by the Food and Drug Administration; and (3) assist a user of medical oxygen under a doctor's care.

Please note that medical documentation is required for use in cabin. Portable Oxygen Concentrators must be FAA approved. Here's a list of some FAA approved devices: AirSep FreeStyle, AirSep LifeStyle, Delphi RS–00400, Inogen One, Invacare XPO2, Respironics EverGo, and SeQual Eclipse.

Battery power is the responsibility of the passenger. Portable Oxygen Concentrators do not count against any baggage allowances.

Fireworks : Signal flares, sparklers, other explosives, etc.

Flammable Liquids or Solids : Fuel, paints, lighter refills, matches, etc.

Household Items : Bleach, spray starch, insecticides, drain cleaners, solvents, etc.

Pressure Containers : Spray cans, butane, fuel, scuba tanks, propane tanks, CO2 cartridges, self-inflating rafts, etc.

Weapons : Firearms, Ammunition, gunpowder, mace, tear-gas, pepper spray, etc.

Other Hazardous Materials : Dry ice, gasoline-powered tools, wet-cell batteries, camping equipment with fuel, radioactive materials (except limited quantities), poisons, infectious substances, etc.

Miscellaneous Items : Knives of any length, cutting instruments of ANY kind (metallic or non-metallic) including carpet knives, box cutters and folding or retractable blades regardless of length, ice picks, straight razors (safety/disposable razors ARE allowed), elongated scissors, etc.

There are certain exceptions for personal care, medical needs, sporting equipment, and items to support physically challenged passengers.

Personal Care Items: All liquid personal care items must be carried in a single, separate, clear plastic zip-top bag (see example at right) that does not exceed 8 inches x 8 inches (20 cm x 20 cm) or is quart size. Liquids must be carried in individual containers no larger than 3 ounces/100 ml. Items must fit in the bag comfortably and the bag must be completely closed.

Only Safety Matches may only be carried on your person. "Strike-anywhere" matches, lighters with flammable liquid reservoirs and lighter fluid are forbidden both in carry on and in checked luggage.

Firearms and Ammunition: may not be carried by a passenger on USA3000 Airlines.

Batteries: Spare Lithium Batteries (lithium batteries not installed in a devise) cannot be in your checked baggage, but may be in your carry-on baggage.

Many common items may seem harmless; however, when transported by air, they can be very dangerous. In flight, variations in temperature and pressure can cause items to leak, generate toxic fumes or start a fire. You must declare your dangerous goods to USA 3000 Airlines. Failure to do so violates U.S. Federal Law. Violators may be subject to a maximum penalty of 5 years' imprisonment and $250,000 or more (49 U.S.C. 5124).
